This is a short journal entry I wrote right after our house went under contract back in May. We will fill in the gaps in our journey as we go, but I thought I’d post this to show you what was going through my mind at that time. So here you go!
It was one of those moments you want to share with your children. You know the ones where, in your mind’s eye, birds are chirping in the trees, with the smell of sweet lavender filling your nostrils, as you frolic through a meadow of waist-high grass. You see a deer bounding through the grass and call back to your children to witness the beautiful creature in its element. Then reality hits.
